Why the fuck do you want to do it with a task? Just do it in the hero init omg

You did it totally wrong. You do not start with a { a { comes after a if condition, a forward, a loop etc.

Also, you have the same if condition two times in the hero init. Delete the first if condition, delete the next two line, and ONLY have what I wrote to you in the init, and nothing more.

I do not see anywhere that you actually put some information inside gPlayerLevels. Where do you get the level of the player?
