Reply With Quote #1

Did anyone face the problem with the server doing its physics too fast in all matter? I mean the speed of movement, the bomb count-down timer etc they look like they are doubled on my listenserver. No idea what it may causing it and how to make it normal. The biggest oddines is - for me and my bots the speed is too fast, but for my friend joining my listenserver the speed is normal for him, but doubled for everyone else he can see and also for count-down bomb timer (so he even cannot follow me or my bots in while walking). I have checked sys_tickrate value - it says it's 100. My PC is P4 3GHz with hyper-threading enabled on Win XP SP2. I don't use any booster software.

Some settings from my listenserver.cfg:
// maximum client movement speed
sv_maxspeed 270
// set the maximum number of times per second
// to update clients
sv_maxupdaterate 50

// set the minimum number of times per second
// to update clients
sv_minupdaterate 15

// set the max data transfer rate in bytes per second
// for any one client on the server. Setting this to 0
// or any value over 10000 defaults to 10000.
sv_maxrate 10000

// set the min data transfer rate in bytes per second
// for any one client on the server. Setting this to 0
// or any value under 500 defaults to 500.
sv_minrate 500

On the client side - for example my friend's config.cfg it's:
cl_backspeed "400"
cl_forwardspeed "400"

If anyone have seen that problem before, please help.
