For example we have to write all other server ips/dns on the name filter? or just add our server name on whitelist and it removes it for the rest?

The whitelist is for IP addresses, as the IP filtering is completely automatic.

When it comes to DNS addresses, you have to add them manually to the chat/name filter lists.
Let's say you wanna filter chat messages that contain "somecommunity.com". You can do that by adding "somecommunity.com" inside the simple-chatfilters.txt file.

It would be great if you could add the automatic option for the dns too!! Like test.site.com all the kind of this to be renamed

I want to ask you a few questions.
1. Is the filtering included in the server's own advertising messages? I am using Ad Plugin on my server and it has the Server's Website, IP Address and Link of Other Social Channels
2. Can You Provide Filter Samples?
3. How Name Filtering Works.

3. How Name Filtering Works.
1. Chat filtering only applies to messages that go through "say" & "say_team" commands.

2. Attached an example file - check it out.

3. It generally depends on how you configure the plugin.

Default configuration:
• Words specified in the simple-namefilters.txt file will be removed from a player's name
• IP addresses will be removed from a player's name
• Symbols/custom fonts will be removed from a player's name
• If a player's name is too short (has less than 3 characters) the player will be renamed to "Player #userid" (example: Player #56)
Attached Files
File Type: txt example namefilters.txt (182 Bytes, 6 views)

Players with names with symbols trying to enter the server. They couldn't log into the server and got a message saying "Forbidden name please change". How Can I Fix This.

This plugin changes a player's name AFTER the player has joined the server, and does NOT kick players for having symbols/unpermitted words inside their names.

The only way for players to get kicked because of their names, is if the game engine forbids certain names by default (i.e. "Player #56" type of names). If that's the case, you could try setting "simple_name_tooshort" to "0" and see if it helps.

Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about those false positives.

Workarounds:
• Stop prohibiting curse words altogether and instead let your admins take care of the toxic people.
• (OR) Use sentences instead of words as filters. This highly reduces the number of false positives, although keep in mind that the detection ratio will go down as well.

To developers: if there is a solution code-wise for this that I'm not aware of, please let me know.
