One problem I have is that sv_visiblemaxplayers must be set to say 8 for an 8 player server. Setting it to -1 will report 4 for coop instead of the actual number. I am running Windows so that may be the problem.

Yep, Windows maxplayers server browser reporting broke around DLC2 (Crash Course). It's just a cosmetic bug, I fixed it already and will release it with the L4D2 update of this extension (0.4).

How are people getting this to report #/16 on the steam groups? I'm still only getting #/8.

I have in my config and the new update.

Yeah will do, just seen quite a few servers with more than 8 showing, thought maybe I was missing out on something

I can get to show 16 available slots...my clientmax shows 16...but when there are 8 players ingame...someone will try to join and it says it fails and the response i get is "Failed to join game do to not enough open free slots" L4D2

Same problem as Twitchy.

Have a 16 Slot Server L4D2. IN hLSW i can se x/16 Slots. In Game Menü Steamgroup Servers my server shows max 8. And i know a server which has 16 Slots. How does this function?
