Anyone have any possible reasons why the sound
"The bomb has been planted"
isnt playing when T's plant? Anyone else having the same issue or has heard of this being an issue at the moment?
I thought it was just me but players are all complaining that they had no idea there was even a bomb. I can understand the frustration, I don't even check for a flashing bomb icon at the bottom of the screen when I have guns pointed at me.

Its a funny thing Drugz. I am using QuickDefuse
up until the last 2 months using quickdefuse you could still hear "the bomb has ..." But now you cant. I found that if I remove quickdefuse, the sound will work, when I replace quick defuse, the sound continues to work for a few sessions and then stops. Not necessarily due to server restart

I may pay someone to fix quick defuse so it works. Its alarming how many people don't know the bombs planted if they dont hear the sound. I always check for the icon, which is a little boring.

Did u try to unload and to reload quickdefuse every map?

Maybe "sm plugins unload quickdefuse" in server.cfg and then on the end of server.cfg an "exec quickdefuse.cfg"

quickdefuse.cfg will be like

wait
wait
wait
wait
sm plugins load quickdefuse

Thats my first idea how to mangae QD without any coding knowledge ^^
Maybe a cronjob with unloading QD every 3 maps or so will fix it also?

Thats a very good idea, I do that with some other plugs. I didnt think to try it thanks. I've been all bent over with other things to think straight!

If you want to unload it, then it is unload. If you want to load it is load...... I do not understand your question oO

In server.cfg you UNload it every mapchange, then in quickdefuse.cfg you load it again every map. That's why the wait cvar is in it.

BTW:
No problem in get your eyes to this solution. I often are looking to the wrong end of the problem and do also need a helper who points me to the other end ^^

Can't figure it out how this should affect in that sound.
Look in QuickDefuse source code and it have different HookMode in that "planted" part.
Line 39
PHP Code:

So, try test change that also to

EventHookMode_Post
and compile.
Look what happen.

unfortunatly this wont compile with or without changes made, it shows 10 errors and I didnt change a thing
