hi every one i have vps locations france with 2 gb ram 1 core 2.66 is that Enough for making hlds server with 32 solt ,and what is the perfect os system for making it i have tested ubuntu 12.04 the ping was not stabel for a while the ping was 40/45 but suddenly turnd in to 60/75 with huge lag spikes and bad gaming
my rats was :

sv_maxrate 80000
sv_minrate 70000
sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_minupdaterate 60

can any help me out hir ?

i guess it can handle 1 server 32 slots more i don't think so

You should use the OS with which you are most familiar. HLDS is optimized for Windows. If you want to use Linux, that is fine also.

but which one do you thinke is more stabel debian or ubuntu or centos ?

There is no one answer. All of those distros are rock solid, but tweaks can make difference.

Most of the hosting websites are not picking their OS for gaming. The reason why they pick debian or CentOS is because those 2 are known to be 2 of the most stable Linux distributions out there.
