I have no problem in extracting the nav files and editing them, but the problem is how would I put it back in vpk. I don't have time to create and upload 100+ vpk packages. On the other hand, if its just the nav files then it would be really easy.

csgo will use a nav outside of a bsp instead of the one packed into it... why does it need to go back in the vpk? you have time to edit 100 navs tho!?

Unless L4D2 uses a weird mounting system, putting it in the maps folder or the custom/..../maps folder should do the trick.

You can simply save them in your maps folder. The server always load the ones in the maps folder first and then in the vpks.

No, the server loads the nav in the maps folder first, if the nav is valid, then it doesn't bother looking somewhere else, if the nav is invalid and/or missing then the server looks in the vpk.
