Well, not everyone in the class is as experienced as I am.
There are people who know nothing about programming or developing web pages.
I'm just lucky to have a head start so that the classes will be easier on me.

I see it exactly opposite. I know HTML and CSS ( I'm not expert but I've done a lot with it) so when I took a Webpage Design class it was nearly painful to sit and listen to the really basic stuff. Also, when you have your own way of doing things it's hard to start doing it the way the instructor wants you to do it. But, maybe I'm just not patient enough .

If you have your laptop with you just screw around on it. Maybe you can develop a new plugin while your teacher is talking about stuff you already know :]

I hated computer classes in college because they teach you as if you know nothing on the topic (which is understandable, but frustrating). The only bonus is if you get a cool professor they will sometimes let you skip class as long as you get all of your work done and pass the tests.

Though, this is helpful for any material that is hard to understand.

I had three years of programming experience before I went to my first college computer science class, and I still learned some new things that I didn't expect to.

I only went to the first lecture of my programming class and got a 98% at the end. This term, I didn't do anywhere near as well though as we started doing things that I don't know much about.
