Is there a way to force run versus while sourcemod is not running? I mean something like sm_cvar mp_gamemode versus

Doubtful since sm_cvar itself is rendered useless until sourcemod is fixed.

sv_cheats 1 might work in server.cfg though even then, it might still require sm_cvar, not sure.

It doesn't work, unless a versus lobby connect to your server. I mean, I am wondering if is there a way to start the server running versus already. ;)

mp_gamemode is flagged as launcher, so I suppose +mp_gamemode "versus" in your startup line could do it?

Just to add with the hopes to help the SM devs, my L4D2 server crashes with the error of:

L 07/03/2013 - 20:10:51: [SDKTOOLS] Sigscan for FireOutput failed - Disabling detour to prevent crashes

Server is the non beta, official release on steampipe

Server 2008R2, latest snapshot of MM loads by its self, tried all stable and snapshots of SM.

Run the following plugins:
l4d2_incappedmedsmunch
l4d2_zcs
SnareSpeak

Thanks for the hard work SM team :-)

Thank you psychonic, and other SM devs, for your efforts. I patiently await the delicious fruit of your labor.

In the mean time, is there a way to get a client to run an old version of L4D2, which can connect to a server that was maintained with hldsupdatetool? I would be okay with it if this old client would be unable to play with anyone else who was not playing the same version.
