    It allows servers to override client's timeout value. Usefull when servers takes a long time to change maps

    This is a very simple plugin that overrides the client's (players) timeout value, which is 60 seconds by default.

    Most people don't know this, but when a server seems to crash on map change and all players disconnect the server usually doesn't crash but it just takes a long time to change maps, but since player's timeout is short (60 seconds) they all disconnect.

    I have been using this plugin for some time and it has worked like a charm. Before i made this i had the cl_timeout value set on 120 and i never got disconnected from any server.


    SERVER CVARS:

    - l4d_client_timeout_value: Sets the timeout value (in seconds) for all clients on the server. Default value is: 120.


    HOW TO INSTALL:

    - Use "Get plugin" to obtain the compiled version.
    - Copy the "l4d_client_timeout_override.smx" file into the ".../sourcemod/plugins/" folder.
    - (optional) Change the default timeout value in your server's configuration file with this: "sm_cvar l4d_client_timeout_value xxx".
    - Restart the server.

    I've been using http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=85395 and no timeout at all during mapchange since I installed it. Will try yours

    That fix (on the link) disables the stats upload, but ha been proven that it really doesn't disable them .... i tried it too a few months ago and players still disconnected on map change ....

    In that post some ppl also report that the timeout bug was fixed, but that's not true. Last night i was playing on a public official server and guess what .... me and my friends timed out on map change.
