i just installed, and it doesnt work for me

granted im an admin, but i set sm_urlchatblock_use_immunity to 0, and it still allowed me to post whatever i wanted.

if there is anything i can do to help debug this, let me know. im running other plugins, but no other chat ones except your ipchatblock.

im NOT running custom chat colors however.

It probably worked, but showed your chat because of the sm_urlchatblock_show_message_to_author cvar.
Oh and also, this is URL chat block, not IP chat block.

i know its urlchatblock, i just mentioned that was the only OTHER one i was running in case there was some interference issue

i also just set sm_urlchatblock_show_message_to_author to 0, and it still shows the message.

And just so you know, im doing this on my own server, and the url also shows up on the console.
confirming its not being blocked

hmm, it's probably something that the regex doesn't detect, e.g. www.sourcemod.net rather than http://www.sourcemod.net
If I use a more vague and broad regex it will detect more than actual urls

i tested it with www.whatever.com, so if you dont block that, we know why it isnt doing what i expected.

most people on my servers dont post the http:// part, so......not gonna be that helful.

I understand and I will look into changing the regex to match www. prefixed urls, but someone could still type whatever.com and bypass it.
Version 3.1.0 is out.
This version adds updater support and also includes a regex that matches www.* urls

It will be nice of course but depends from author.
