Is the "WHOIS BAN" feature possible ?

There are many non-steam servers today.. It is really hard to fight cheaters with wide range of dynamic ip's on such servers.For example here is few ip ranges of "telecomitalia":
80.181.192.0 - 80.181.255.255
82.50.0.0 - 82.51.255.255
82.52.0.0 - 82.55.255.255
79.0.0.0 - 79.63.255.255
We got a cheater who has new ip from these ranges every time he reconnects to the internet.. I got these ranges using whois tool. I think it is possible to create plugin using whois facility to ban by ip's hostname (for example all ranges of these ip's will contain "telecomitalia.it" in the end).

Hmm... yes, a problem indeed.

Oh, I know how to fix this, delete the orangebox/bin folder and run the hldsupdatetool and don't install the crack thats used to run a pirate server.

I am not owner of a pirate server - just a regular admin.. and i want to get things more easy to do. Btw steam servers actually dont need such powerful administrative tools and the army of admins to let peoples play w\o cheaters.

I already told you how you can fix the issue with being unable to ban people

Ban them by steam id.

I'm sorry, but you have absolutely no room to complain about hackers, when you run a hacked server.

Last I checked this game was $20

Maybe try buying it, and play with others who do the same. It might fix the issues.

Yup, maybe you are right

But in our country non-steam servers are most popular and there is nothing i can do about it. Btw i got licensed game so dont blame me.

Well, you aren't going to find support for a non-steam server in a forum full of people who paid money for their games.

SteamID's work wonderfully, admins not using them are failish.
