Hello there!

I have a question. Is it possible for somebody, who is able to code, to analyze a multihack, to do a working anticheat-tool? Perhaps only for the special cheat?

I found a horrible webside with such cheats (no way for the link) and it seems, that our server is sometimes full of users of the cheats.

If it is not possible, could someone explain, how I could use the cheats (offline) for analyzing demos, which I recorded?

PM me the link and ill take a look.

I would advise against installing any of them, as VAC picks up traces of most of them even after the instalation.

I used to write anti-hack stuff for PAF once upon a time, was under cover on J00lz hack project.

Theres not really much you can do.
They are all developed with the thought of VAC and server side script hack detectors in mind. So theres nothing broadcast to let you know their there.

I hate cheaters too! But dont report it to Valve, better make a PlugIn to allow several types of cheatz for sometimes, e.g. for RATS if there much camper >> Wireframe on. But in all other casualties disabled but no ban, only if he/she cheats 3 times

Bye

Client side anti-cheats, IMO have always been the most reliable...while they are gotten around sometimes, it's less likely, I liked cheating deah for HL1 as it's methods were not that of detection but blocking, and it worked, and worked well. The only thing is, as cheating death is a hook (as are most hacks), it was at one point (before a failsafe was put in) that VAC would ban you because you had cheating death. There have been reports of this happening due to XFire as well, I have a friend who's been banned for "cheating" when the only third party app he had open was XFire

Most hacks = hooks
Cheating-Death = Hook
Xfire = Hook

VAC bans for hooks.

Honestly little by the community can be done when it comes to creating a client side method as (like stated above) most client side anti-cheats would require a hook. and VAC Bans for that... sucks doesn't it?
