VAC bans for hooks.

Honestly little by the community can be done when it comes to creating a client side method as (like stated above) most client side anti-cheats would require a hook. and VAC Bans for that... sucks doesn't it?
My hole clan use X-fire for a long time now, you are not get banned for it.

VAC bans by byte code, much like an antivirus, it does not ban anything that hooks hl2 (or everyone with spyware on their system would be banned).
