Hello,
My server works few seconds, then ping goes to 900 (to all players) and returns back to normal in few seconds.

What I've tried:
1. Running without AMXX and metamod = no success
2. Modifying server.cfg, sys_ticrate, FPS, everything, nothing works
3. Checking connection, no DDos was on the servers, and firewall is disabled




Connection:



Computer:
3.3 GHz
512 MB of RAM


That should be enough for small clan-war server of 10 players. Tried everything, even on other machine, same stuff happens.

Tried lowring sys_ticrate to 100/300/500/600/750/1000, everytime it lags. My command line to start the server is:

./hlds_run -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 10

As a notice, I've tried with -pingboost 2 and same stuff happens. (lag).

Your System does not look very strong.
Can you provide details on the hardware from the second Computer you tried on?

Hi, the other one had this specs:
Intel Processor (1 core): 2800 MHz

And 1 GB of RAM:

[root@server ~]# cat /proc/meminfo MemTotal: 1030552 kB

Both have low latency kernel (tried it too) and still lags.

Pretty weak system, I'm not sure, but I would say the hardware is too weak.

Imo it's not weak for hlds, I have been running few public server with that kind of hardware without lag.

As I said, I was not sure. It sounded just bit weak for me.
Maybe your connection is sometimes not stable.

I've checked the connection, and it's perfectly fine.








Connection works just fine when players start to lag. (checked it).

Is your server on a Dedicated network connection or a Shared network connection?
