When I tried to update rehlds on my server host through ftp, it crashed with this:

./hlds_run: line 255: 28667 Segmentation fault[6C$HL_CMD

I roll back to version used before to update, but still crashes.
Any tips?!

remove +ip and +port line from launch parameters and try.

i have the same problem (only that i don't get any error) i updated with steamcmd from my panel and the server just crashes

There were many reports of incomplete downloads lately with steampipe

I would check to see if the server's size is .. normal compared to a regular HLDS installation, or for any complaints of missing files in the log

I always repeat "app_update 90 validate" 4-5 times to be sure everything is downloaded..
And under Windows it's downloaded correctly and server doesn't crash but when i download for linux (cross-platfrom) it start crashing when i upload to the host.

Right now it won't download the entire server, even if you do it 5 times. It's bugged.

I already have seen this but the files are too much different than mine, probably I have to try.
Also why under window the platform works well, but under linux not?!?!
I'm starting to think there is something wrong with my hosting providers, but they tell me, that I can't correctly upload the platform.
Okay, let's say the steamcmd doesn't download everything, but firstly I haven't upload the whole platform, cuz there was a their platform, I only replaced the core files for rehlds and then crashing started.
