yeah I believe every option should have a toggle. I see allot of changes to plugs that add things that causes me to not want them due to having to re explain everything to people which is a pain in the arse.

IP banning is bad. IP's aren't permenant to one player and in many cases are taken over by someone innocent.

Psy made the sourcebans checker, i would suggest making a alternation where it instead wars the current admins on the servers saying "this ip has a ban on record from blabla" rather then banning it straight away, like sinblaster says with the modems changing ip anyway.

This seems to crash my linux server. Anyone else have this problem? If I start the server with this plugin the server never starts. If I load the plugin while the server is running it seems fine untill its time to change maps and then the server crashes.

What I would really like (in addition to the modification above) is an option to turn on dual Steam ID/IP banning so that and IP would be banned along with a steam ID whenever and in-game ban is done via the admin menu.

I was planning on changing this also. If the client is currently on the server when the ban is made, it should grab his IP and ID (or at least have an option to).

Got a very strange problem with one of my servers. It keeps banning the IP of the machine where sourcebans is hosted.
Yeah, I checked the password 10 times. I stopped the server, deleted the files in data/sqlite and the server still continues to ban the IP.

I've got hlstatsx running, but i checked the passwords there also and everything's fine.


Edit: Disabling HlstatsX's rcon option, fixed the problem.
So it wasn't caused by sourcebans
