I know there used to be a auto respec plug in for mani for dods where it would force you back to the person you selected. Was there ever a plug in like this for SM for tf2?

I actually requested that a long time ago in the request section, but nobody has done one yet. Its called "auto observe". Ya that was a great mani feature, really the only feature I miss in SM. And it should be done for ALL games, not just tf2.

But no there is no current plugin that does the same thing.

wow. i have a private, poorly coded, plugin that does this.

I can't believe that there is not a published plugin around.

guess i have to clean mine up and publish it.

EDIT:

Here is a beta version. I will add to new plugins soon. It requires the core plugin as well... to make it multi-game.

Commands:
sm_spectate
sm_stopspec

Give it a try and let me know.

EDIT:

(removed link, see the publish plugin)

Seems to work pretty nicely Ant. It spams the "specing player" msg, and it also doesnt seem to disable heh. Need a disable button, like if it changed the menu entry to disable after you enabled it on the player, so you could click on that player again to disable. Also might be worth auto-disabling it if the player leaves the game or joins spectate.... Just a few ideas.

Also got a bunch of this in console. I had a bunch of bots loaded to testing the specing, so id guess its prolly the bots maybe?

Ya, I changed the chat spam again after that post, didn't work out the way I wanted. Eh. Been on vacation and wont be able to get to it until Sep. But I will update it again, cause I use it myself. I know of a better way to do it now and will actually make a posted plugin for it.
