Recently a veteran player on my server suddenly got banned by SMAC. He has a lot of games under his belt with nearly 2k hours of TF2, so I would like some confirmation if this is actually a valid ban:

While I'm no expert the sheer number and variety of detections make this pretty damn suspect.

While not out of the realm of possibility, I'd find it humorous for someone to steal a person's account just to play a F2P game.

indeed, but look at the harm this can cause, 1. a veteran, possibly reputation ruined, 2. acc vac ban, losing all games for that engine
ppl do bad things for various reasons and sometimes just cus they can

I wouldn't be surprised if the F2P game account was stolen for the $20+ buds unusuals and other items.
