I'll probably get hated for telling you this but..
I was using a modded version of LSS and joined a server. I tried several of the old 'Source Engine' disconnect exploits and none of them worked. I tried
Code:
************************************
and it did not crash peoples games
Code:
{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}
By the looks of it, Disconnect exploits have been patched. You can still change your message but it will not affect the server in any way.

Can anyone tell me if somebody has used a disconnect exploit on their server?
If you try any of the old ones they crash YOUR game

In short: I think they're patched

I guess its the same on CSS then. Why do people still delete the messages (x left the game () ) then if it does nothing?
thats retarded

Yes its patched, I only know 2 current working crashing methods that work after the OB update.

I'm not telling them tho, so dont bother asking.

Does KaC or RCONLocker prevent it ?

yes KAC prevented the exploit, but it removed the quit message completely instead of just cutting it, servers still use it because KAC prevents other exploits too.

The exploit has been fixed something like 2 months ago by Valve.
