its really annoying to update it everytime a new snapshot is released... can it autoupdate with the snapshots or only official releases?

Last time i checked SM doesn't update the necessary files to change version. i.e. The official releases never update themselves. It would be impossible to replace files that are in use.

Why not wait till SourceMod update new gamedata files.
Of course srcds should not crash continuously when starts, otherwise SM don't have time to download new files.
- Then update manually or try move all plugins in disabled folder temporary.

And pay attention of other extensions/plugins what are not SM default files and have own gamedata files, those not update along.
