It seems a few around here have at least a "working" relationship with Valve. Was curious if anyone has heard plans for TF2 Scream Fortress this year, if any.

More of a 'distant cousin' relationship, they only answer our calls back a few days later when it's not longer relevant.

Some members of the SM team are occasionally given prerelease binaries for upcoming TF2 updates, almost never more than a day in advance (and usually only that much if a planned update gets delayed). On the occasion that the binaries could hint at a content update like that, we're kindly asked not to share the findings.

No. The closest thing to that would be when the Workshop for TF2 was released, but it was not required to add the new functions to the SDK to keep compatibility with SM.
