Does anyone know how to change the sounds when someone yells Medic?
I have tried replacing the wav files to different ones, and naming them the same but it keeps yelling the same medic sound. I have even added a 3rd sound and put it in the script file and when it gets to it in game you hear nothing. Look in console and it says that it can't find that file or it doesn't exist. Has anyone ever tried doing this?

I guess you're refering to the DoD:S Medic plugin,
you'll have to do code changes on the source if you want to use
another sound file

No, he's talking about the "voice_medic" command.

Oh well, in that case you can hook the client command "voice_medic",
play the sound you want to be played by either using "EmitSoundToAll"
or "EmitSoundToClient" or "EmitAmbientSound" and after that
return "Plugin_Handled" to override the standard sound.

I figured all this is server side. Seeings how the client has no medic.wav.. The sound is coming from the server. What im trying to do is when someone calls for medic and it yells medic, it would be funny if he yelled MOMMY! I have a mommy.wav file from young Frankenstein.

Wooopppsss it almost worked. It works for one map but when the map
changes it creats a file in the mommy folder named mommy.wav.ztmp
Then it will not work again until you delete that file but when the map changes its starts all over again

That file is being created because the sound file is not hosted on a fast download server.

I'm not sure why that would prevent the sound file from playing though.

Goat and I are the server admins/techs. We found a plugin w/cvars that we added some custom configs to get rid of the ztmp files. But the mommy medic won't work after server restart. It works on the first map after restart. then if we change maps it stops working.

You're absolutely right, I made a little mistake, it should be fixed now
and still work after mapchange.

Like before:
Name the sound "mommy.wav" and place it into the folder
"orangebox/dod/sound/mommy/" on your gameserver,
it will automatically download and play instead of the "Medic!"-yell!
