im sure ive seen this some where befor but im not sure.

is there a way to make source tv record a demo for say each map, or for a set length of time etc, Basically i get some idiots on my servers who use voice rather then text so when i get complaints there's nothing in the logs becouse they used voice.

reason for it being map change or a set length of time is so that i dont end up with 24+ hour long demo's i have to troll through to find the right time. If its split up on map changes or say 60 minutes that would be alot easier.

Yeah, the commands are:
tv_enable 1
tv_autorecord 1
tv_maxclients 0

This is optional to "name" the SourceTV spectator:
tv_name "Whatever you want"

By default it splits them on map change, to configure it any other way you'd have to set some sort of script up or plugin.

so say on my dust2 server timelimit is 30 mins so everytime map changes it will start a new demo ?

also on map change my server runs the server.cfg each time so will this make a difference if i add it in server.cfg or should i go with autoexec ?

We use auto record on our match server, it creates a new demo for every map when there are players on the server.

Yeah, I have it in autoexec but putting it in both is not a bad idea, just in case.

Do not worry about it, autoexec.cfg will load first, then followed by server.cfg
