I was wondering if your L4D mod was going to have extended capabilities designed strictly for L4D. Like restricting spawning of weapons on versus so the teams have a fair run through and restricting tank spawns/witch spawns etc.

I'm wondering this because I love Left 4 Dead and I would like to see it in leagues and other competitive atmospheres but we really need some sort of competition mod to make the game viable for a proper competitive atmosphere.

Left 4 Dead is not meant to be competitive. It's a co-op game, Versus is there because playing Infected is "Fun".

If it's not meant to be competitive then why did they add in a scoring system?

That's subjective though I think it was and I think it can be with a few tweaks.

Competitive L4D? And people complained that crits in TF2 were "too random"... L4D will take a lot more work to make "fair"!

It's competitive between 2 teams. The team that works better with co-op. If zombies don't co-op it's easier for humans and vice versa.

I know that, hence why I'm arguing FOR it being competitive.

If you do this please keep your server off the lobby system. I would be so pissed if I just wanted to play a NORMAL game of left 4 dead and I end up on a server like this..

If anyone does write this, they should make it automatically edit the allow_lobby_connect cvar while it is active, so those of us who don't care about being "competitive" can play some real L4D.
