would it be possible to detect the pitch of the sample and mute players under 14? ^^

When a server has sing-along it causes lag. I'm guessing that each audio "packet" from each singer is broadcast to everyone on the server. So if there are 10 singers and 24 people on the server then that's 10 packets to 24 players; or 240 "audio streams", which seems a likely cause of the lag.

Could this plugin be used to mix the 10 voices into one stream? I assume it'd have to buffer packets up (for 1/20 sec or 1 frame or something), then mix them and rebroadcast the single mixed packet. That would reduce the bandwidth by 10x (or however many singers there are).

My Advice: mute singers, it's meant to be played, not singed
Afaik there are no streams, only voice data that is part of a whole packet.

How is this project coming?

I'm not sure if these ideas are related to the plugin, but they are some things I've always wanted to do with the voice comms:

- Detect when a player is using their mic (already done I see)
- Stream audio files through the voice channel without clients having to download anything
- Normalizing (auto-gain?) audio volume on each clients' mic
- Stream live voice chat to a server externally such as Mumble and vice versa (I heard that SourceOP does something like this?)

Plus many more I'm sure. Hope this project hasn't died off!

Added a Linux build. It uses a sigscan, but it shouldn't break.

Why i got this message in my server

and how install with sourcemod? why voice.smx plugins cant use?
