First, enunciate your English (I know it's not your native language). Second, don't state opinions and edge cases as facts.
Pyros deal very low damage in VSH as-is. Airblasts don't even damage Hale, yet they add to his rage. Why nerf pyros more?

In other news:
The Half-Zatoichi will now +35 health on hitting Hale, but will not overheal you if you already have full health. It will act as if you got a kill with it if you hit Hale.

Also, fixed the onlyscoutsleft ragebuilding.

Just a thought I had today while playing - would it be a good idea to give clients the option of having a "preferential boss" cookie? The default would be Hale, and whichever boss was the preference would have Saxton's current chance to be chosen, with the other bosses as the rarer chances. This way a player could choose their favourite boss, or modify their preference a couple of rounds before it was their turn depending on what map was being played, and it would give their preference a higher chance of being played, though not prohibiting the chances for the other bosses.

EDIT: I also noticed that when players with long names become bosses with long names (like CBS), the HUD text can cut off. Unfortunately, this usually happens right on the point where the health is displayed, as today I got the message that CBS apparently had ~2,000 HP (as opposed to 20,000) with 20+ players on the server.

The hud text issue is easy to fix. Just find the translation for that particular string and find the {1} that shows where it puts the client name, and add a \n right after it, so it goes to a new line. I also had that idea for influencing the boss choices, and was going to see if I could somehow use the points that VSH counts to determine it. However, I figured spies would go off the charts if any bad Hale came up (hence allowing a ton of backstabs) so... hm.

I didn't attach the .smx because I was lazy. That's also a different thread. For VSH, you will want to set the life multiplier cvar to zero and the add damage cvar to 600 or so. That way, a stomp does not do 100% of Hale's health (which the lifemul cvar would do)

Damage = (Victim's actual life * goomba_dmg_lifemultiplier) + goomba_dmg_add

So for removing/changing the Mantread stomp sound, I'll look into something else for it.

Also, heads up, Eggman's got his heart set on having a modified Goomba Stomp plugin for VSH (because of some achievement that involves stomping) so he's probably gonna post a modified one that prevents Hale from stomping. Because we don't have VSH achievements yet, you can use either one, unless one is particularly outdated.

ALSO update SDKHooks (I think I already said this a couple days ago) so that stomps don't make the Machina double kill sound.
But then there was a TF2 Update today, so update the TF2 gamedata.

Unreal1: Strange, the error shouldn't occur at all. I'll check to see what's up with precaching. Are you running VSH with no specials?

Type playgamesound ui/holiday/gamestartup_halloween.mp3 in console ON YOUR CLIENT TF2.
Do the same with saxton_hale/the_millionaires_holiday.mp3.

They should play. If they do, then the server has some problem with the files in precaching.

Hey!

First of all, I'd like to apologize if this was already answered, but there are like 150 pages to this thread and I can't read through the mall. Search wasn't fruitful either. As an apology in case this was already answered, here's some bacon;

Anyways! I extracted SDK Hooks in my /sourcemod directory and installed TF2 items and VHS.

I then restarted my server, set the map to koth_sawmill and started the server. When I join my server however, the gamemode doesn't seem to start. Why is that? Am I supposed to activate it somewhere?

Sorry if this is a retarded question, not very experienced with TF2 hosting. Yet again, here's some bacon;

Any help much appreciated.
