The WebLync settings must be in the WebLync config file. You cant put other cvars in there.

This is the question, the plugin when it runs for the first time puts all these CVARS automatically:

Would this be normal or could I delete everything and make the plugin regenerate the configs?

What I can see is that you're saying this is a problem with the Steam Beta Client. The plugin does not seem to work even on the stable release.
