A much more desirable plugin could be written with Orpheu ( since strings in the memory can be directly replaced ), or another alternative is with Hamsandwich, as oppose to the infamous CurWeapon event.

I know this is an old thread but if I use this model: https://gamebanana.com/skins/162529 do I just change the file names in the code "models/w_c4.mdl" and "models/w_backpack.mdl"? This snippet is what I'm looking for because I just want to change the C4 model for players. I just want to make sure I'm setting it up right.
