What game is your server and is your server running on windows or linux?

Also, check with your hosting company, some will install plugins for you as well as installing AMXX.

The operating system is completely unrelated.

And I have yet to meet a single server host company that will install any plugin other than amx_super.

My only suggestion is read, reread, and reread the documentation until you understand what you're doing.
