I can't really find anything on the internet about it.

Does anyone in here know if it is against the EULA to inject cheats into cs 1.6? My guess is yes but maybe you are allowed as long as you got your own server and doing it via LAN.

Not that anyone would find out anyway, just wondering.

You mean server side cheats like an amx_aimbot or amx_wallhacks for example , and you type a command to use them or exec them on clients, i do not know if there legal but the dev for our community who also is an amx approver here made an amx_aimbot plugin that we used on our server by typing /aim and that was like a year ago and all is still good , dont have that plugin on server anymore though was really just a toy plugin made by him

Id say it'd be ok because really you could make a plugin with ESP for every alive player if thats what you wanted to give everyone on your server though I dont read EULA's although probably should, dont want to end up like the human centipad from that south park episode where Kyle didnt read apples terms of use LOOL

If you are that worried about it, don't load cheats onto your system. If for some unknown and stupid reason you must, start your CLIENT in insecure mode by adding "-insecure" to the startup line and then VAC won't care about you, but you also won't be able to join any VAC secured servers.

That is not what I meant. I am aware of plugins doing the stuff. I am talking about injecting a 3rd party program directly into cs 1.6.

I'm not really that worried. I was just curious.

I was unaware of the -insecure parameter for clients, I only thought it was servers.

As far as I can tell it should be against EULA since you will be changing files on the client, but a 3rd party anti cheat client also does this, and I have seen a few servers where that is required.

Not exactly.
It depends how the cheat works.

If you modify mp.dll, hw.dll or whatever file to start the cheat, you're modifying the client.
But most cheats work injecting in memory. That way you're not modifying the client, just a piece of memory of your operating system.

That is what I would classify as modifying the files for the game, as that is what you are basically doing, just after you loaded the files, but I might be wrong, which is why I am asking.
