I have same problem, but after a time; You automatically click login when you go on alliedmodders :p

The computer has a fresh Windows installation which also makes the FireFox isntallation fresh. Cookies shouldn't be a problem. If I press "log in" then close the browser for 30 minutes then I have to log in again, but if I open it within those 30 minutes it is logged in.

Maybe the browser just "learns" that it has to press log in each time I visit the site

EDIT:
I found an addon for FireFox called ForceTLS where I forced https on this site only. Don't think I'll fix it but since Yami suggested it I might as well do it. Let's see what happens tomorrow...

That sure sounds like a cookie problem to me. Then again, I don't use Firefox anymore

Well it worked today, and the only thing I did was to use that ForceTLS addon I downloaded to force https on this site only. This time I was just logged in as I visited the site.

Why do you need such an addon? Can't you just change your bookmark to https?

I switched my bookmark to https long ago when I first found out AlliedModders supported it.

Which is probably why I can still visit the site at work.

I do not use bookmarks at all. I always visit the site by typing the URL.
