Hello,
I cannot Start server on VPS

I have installed SteamCMD

and after typing ./hlds_run -game cstrike +ip (IP) -port 27015 -maxplayers 32

I get this error :

"ip" is "localhost" Server IP address 5.231.44.65:27059

use +port 27015 +ip 5.231.44.65 and remove port from server.cfg or any other executed cfg

You forgot +map

When type :

./hlds_run -game cstrike +ip 5.231.44.65 -port 27015 -maxplayers 32 +map de_dust2

I get error :

WARNING: UDP_OpenSocket: port: 27015 bind: Cannot assign requested address FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Couldn't allocate dedicated server IP port 27015.

And without ip:

./hlds_run -game cstrike -port 27015 -maxplayers 32 +map de_dust2

I get this :

can you try +port instead of -port

ps aux
( into ssh ( or was it shh, can't remember ) )
and write here that dat wrote to you.

There is no need to define the port if you are running the server on 27015.....
But he is right. Something is already running on this port.
