I did a test with last snapshot of SM several times, does not work, metamod says "plugin error"...

That's why the binaries of SM for l4d (.l4d.so renamed to .l4d2.so) does not work for l4d2.

As wrote Bailopan, they are doing some tests, we must wait then.

when SourceMod and metamod come out will the plugins for left4dead work with left4dead 2

The -console is a Windows only option. Might as well leave it out.

Don't need +exec the server will run the script automatically. Also if you have a custom filename like server_01.cfg it will run only at start up this way. At the next map load it will use default settings. If you use a custom filename use +servercfgfile yourfilenamehere.cfg. You'll get an error on that command in both L4D and L4D2, but it will work (help servercfgfile explains).

The cvar ip (+ip) still works but it might be removed at some point. You should use -ip in stead.

Thanks for yours, but it was an example, we are talking about a MM and SM matter in this thread, you are a little bit OT . Just for your records, that startup script is a .sh file that our customers cannot manage through ftp 'cause is located on other place, so we can set slots and ip and obviously default config, they cannot change mod, config nor other parameters... is a security matter and about -console, well sometimes we use wine a little bit.
