It will eventually cause you to not show up on the server list once they disable legacy mode on their servers. They did mention that they're working to fix other problems that this works around, but did not respond when asked about the A2S_Rules issue specifically.

Added a CSS rcon_sourcemod.cfg that supports
Advanced Commands (0.14) = http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=99300

Also due to HLSW's cvar limit this was the only plugin added.

Is HLSW hiding the rules OS specific? Cause I have windows dedicated servers running and it shows all rules. Now Linux it generally only shows a few select and some that you put in the server.cfg. And whats the point of hiding the rules anyways?

HLSW isn't hiding anything. A bug in the linux server version causes the server to not send the full list of rules.
