Meh damn it, I requested this type of streaming feature a hella long time ago. It would be impossible to have a client stream when he firsts connects to a server. HOWEVER, it would be possible to have a file stream upon map change. Just have an MOTD window open 3-5 seconds before a map change. Its a pretty crappy method, but none the less, a working one.

Yeah we are aware of that feature, when using HLMP like we already have running, your song will continue until mapchange is complete but when the MOTD pops up when you enter the server the music stops.

i dont see y the music should stop..since its displaying the same MOTD...
it should only stop and restart the song from the beginning since its equivalent to hitting 'refresh' in IE cos the MOTD is gonna open the same html page again.... u mean to say that it stops playing completely ? if it stops then is the new map MOTD the same html file from the last maps hlmp generated one ??..or the standard server motd...
if its the standard server motd in the new map then it definitely will stop cos the code for windows media player will not be there..

The HLMP plugin has the windows media player code hard coded/embedded in the plugin itself.

The plugin reads a file with the file urls, then formats the motd window with the wmp info, and shows an entirely different motd window to stream the file.

HLMP's motd window will never be the same as the server's motd, hence it will continue to stream through map change until server motd is shown, then it will stop.
