umm the deadlock is from ES_TOOLS not sourcebans...... try asking over in the eventscripts forums.

I have asked to the developer of es_tools and he said to me that es_tools detected that the server was in a locked state and then noticed it, but es_tools are not the cause of the deadlock if without sourcebans installed the server loads fine.
And in fact is so.
Just when sourcebans is installed and the webserver is not reacheble that error appears.

The only reason I could think it would do something like that, is if you added the wrong DB info to the config file. Because when I typed the port number wrong, my server hung for like 2 mins.

Check your DB info, also check the port is open on your host.

Oh it does that, depending on how your server is setup it can hang for hours.

Not yet no, it's easiest to get an SVN client and insert http://svn.interwavestudios.com/sourcebans as the SVN url.

I finally fixed it: was the "autoadd server" feature in the sourcebans.cfg, I had used it the first time I ran sourcebans and left it enabled, but if it remains enabled and the gameserver does not succeeds to find the webserver on which is installed sourcebans, then that error appears.
I'm glad.
