Maintain plugins.ini, you can do as AMX Mod (Not AMXX) does i guess.
If that plugin is not found at plugins folder, the AMX remove it from plugins.ini automatically.

And remove plugins.ini that will be terrible to almost game panels, because you will need access ftp only to change 1~2 plugins

I guess we shouldn't even be discussing the pros and cons of this since it should never be recommended here (This is the home for [the current version of] AMX Mod X which should be the only one promoted here).

This is pretty much pointless. Removing some stuff and adding Orpheu is not enough to release a standalone edition.

As for your optimizations, you could've created a pull request and get it directly in AMXX instead (if they're good obviously).

Dark Edition sounds to me like non-steam
And one thing why no modules.ini, lets say i got four servers and in modules-folder are 120 modules, then 4x120 runs in CPU. Maybe amxmodx will load only needed modules but idk really

Same as xPaw, I see no changes enough worth to create a whole edition.
Most of your changes are extremely trivial and changes nothing from user/admin point of view/experience and basing on 1.8.2 may not the best idea.
This is a community, I'm not sure why you don't want to contribute to current AMXX project, so far, a lot of changes have made since 1.8.2. All ideas/suggestions/changes are really welcomed.

By the way, where is the source code? you have posted that 3 days ago now. I don't see why it took that long to upload it. Please do it fast, I'm giving you 24h unless you have a specific reason, you had plenty of time, I will have to deal with this thread otherwise.
