I feel like Windows Vista and Windows 7 are for people who don't know computers, everything is big and bulky. Much harder to navigate manually IMO.

Roach, the boot time is actually 4 seconds longer. You just probably made a clean install.

Fysiks... People who hang on to XP is people who can't afford Vista, people that fail using it or people that has less than 2GB of RAM.

Either way the most important thing for an OS is multi-tasking which is exactly what Vista was made for. 7 aswell, but of course... greatly improved.

mmm not really. But then again I cheat, I have turbo memory, so I never have to wait for a boot time at all. Windows boots in under 10-15 seconds, if that.

I have a solution.
Go to: -> Control Panel\Windows Update
There click -> View available updates.
Then search in the list of the two updates that are causing the problem.
Right click them. And click "Hide Update".
They will not bother you again.

Now you can let the discussion flow.
I think that Vista is better than XP but I don't like the large memory usage, it has times when it really sucks. It has an improved core but the best core from all the windows will be in 7 so thats what I am waiting for
