Anti-Virus are always a good thing to have. Depends on which one you're using though. (I prefer Kaspersky or NOD32) Vista has several compatibility problems and performance issues that XP might not have; but it also has some pluses. Overall XP is better as a base but Vista can be configured to run smoother. (In my opinion anyway)

Just because you have an antivirus doesn't mean you fail, and having XP instead of vista also doesn't make you fail. Posting worthless spam like you; falls under the catagory of fail.

XP is fucking awful. That vote doesn't prove that it's the best. It proves that you think it's the best.
My computer has NEVER crashed since I switched to Vista. It looks better, it is more processor efficient and it looks good.

And you do NOT need an antivirus. If you need one it proves you don't know what the fuck you're doing. I haven't used one for years.

I'm assuming you're one of those nuts that don't click anything at all then or that you actually have multiple viruses on your computer without your knowing of them. Or; you just go to sites that mommy and daddy say are okay And to your Vista is better than XP argument; name multiple instances where Vista is 100% better than XP. The only thing I can really think of is that it's better at multi-threading. Big whoop there. Windows 7 BETA tops vista on all counts there. Even the performance with its transparencies tops Vista's Aero theme. Which I've noticed will and can cause blue screens when running demanding tasks.

Windows 7 is extreme, I will upgrade as soon as it's released. No doubt.
Multi-threading is pretty fucking crucial for an OS.
You know what happens if ONE folder freezes in XP? It crashes, along with all the other open folders and of course explorer.exe...
You know what happens with Vista? The folder crashes, no other folders do nor do the system. Fail, fail, fail... oh wait, that's win. I don't care if that is what is using extra memory, I want that.

It's not about using 300 megs less memory. Vista is more efficient using processors, that's fact. And I got 4 gigs of RAM, why shouldn't I use them? Seriously, you're just one of the rest Vista haters. You wanna be a part of the group, you hate it because everyone else do. You have no fucking idea why.

What's your argument gonna be with XP vs. 7? It's to transparent, my eyes get's confused.

If you're so damn obsessed with this performance thing with XP, then disable the theme. Use the 98 theme.
