Well when i download a plugin (.smx file) i put it in the plugins folder in sourcemods and there are convars like
sm_hide_kills_knife 1/0
sm_hide_kills_sapper 1/0

What do i do with those, I heard they are a generated .cfg file just for that plugin but i cant find it! I looked everywhere like in /cfg/sourcemods and didnt find it. Please help!
Also my sourcemod wont work, it says Unknown Command : SM
Edit : The .cfg files arent being generated

Well if your sourcemod and or metamod is not installed correctly then that plugin will not generate the required cfg file for your plugin to work. In rare cases a cfg file is to be downloaded from where you got the plugin.

So we need to know what version of sourcemod and metamod you are using and what OS.

Some plugins create their own config file, others don't. The author usually says if a config file is created or not in the first post. If they don't mention a config file, but give you convars to use, put them in your sourcemod.cfg. That way you don't clutter up your server.cfg.

You'll find sourcemod.cfg in your mod\cfg\sourmod folder (which is also the folder plugin create their configs in).
