Thank you, i got it working now! But the weird thing is.. The file was already there. I deleted and repasted it a lot of times, but that didn't help. I installed the FuncommandX and i guess that was missing. Tnx

Is there a way to make this plugin work with the cvar director_no_survivor_bots?

For instance, to make a new player instantly spawn either at the start of the map or somewhere nearby?

Is there a way to choose whether spawn in saferoom or spawn at body?

@chinagreenelvis

No

EDIT:

On second thought, one could set the convar 1 to spawn and back to 0 immediatly after, but i dont know if setting it 1 causes additional bots to spawn

@realdreams

This would require extensive checking if the body is in a pathable area, a killzone, a fire ... short answer No.

I wouldn't need bots at all. This would be strictly for coop and realism.

I get a peculiar problem when I remove bots from the game and try to play solo on my server while allowing other players to join in. In the original L4D, new players spawn in rescue closets, but in L4D2, new players crash the server - every time.

The server doesn't crash if new players spawn while I'm at the beginning of the map, though. It's only when I've moved away from it and they are forced to spawn as "dead" when I get server crashes. So I thought maybe if there was a plugin which forced a newly joined player to spawn at the beginning of the map no matter what, I could avoid the crashes.

hi atomic, does this plugin gives the newly respawned player admin privileges?
because i was using the csm plugin, i set the csm plugin to be only accessible to admins... when a guy joins my server, he cannot use !csm... but after he died and i use ur respawn plugin to respawn that guy's character, he can suddenly use !csm... can i know why this happens?

This plugin does grant root admin flags in order to execute the 'give medkit' and so on cheat commands. However they are reset to whatever the client had before, immediatly after.

Check your error log ... if something interrupted the plugin it might have granted the admin flag and never took it back.

sourcemod/logs/

There should be "normal" and likely error log files.
