The only way I found to make it work is to type it in the console.

yes using console, was not working due to an apparent conflict with the plugin webshortcut

If anybody is still maintaining this plug-in, I have a feature request ... I put the details in a new "plug-in idea / request thread" - because I didn't want to completely hijack this thread for that request and all the detail I put into that, and I wasn't sure if the original author is/was still around and maintaining this plug-in.

Is there mod to make this work without having to put quotes around the URL?
That is causing me problems wrapping other commands around it, etc.

Here's a (untested) version that automatically prepends http:// to the front of the URL.

So you should be able to use the commands like this: sm_hiddenurl @all youtube.com/watch?v=MeDI-ahJT04
Attached Files
File Type: sp Get Plugin or Get Source (motdurl.sp - 286 views - 3.9 KB)

Thanks, but some of the URL's are actually "https://".
Actually I worked-around it by changing my task-scheduling plug-in (which I am using to kick-off some of these).

Hm, I figured that most URLs would be http, and that if you tried to use https with a non-secure link, it'd issue a warning or something. My bad, sorry about that.
