I have read on how one can apply a model to a custom weapon, but what about a weapon skin? Am I going to have to make that skin into a model and work from there, or is there another way of handling this? I've searched and haven't found a conclusive answer.

Any information would help,
Thank you.

So Models are okay, but not skins.

Oh Valve. Stop being so silly.

I dont think he understood what you were asking. It is possible to give a custom model weapon. although setting a custom skin, or material, to a model is impossible in the source engine.
