I cant get this plugin to 'slap' it just slays the snipers. any ideas?

OMG. The only way I would use this plugin is if there were only friends playing and no one else was allowed. I think the whole bodyshot thing is out of control. Just play the freakin game. I think it is hilarious when I am in a server and hear one sniper whining about another sniper bodyshotting. If it happens more than a couple times, I change classes to sniper and change teams if I need to and start bodyshotting that complaining sniper just so he knows he is being a whiner.

I still haven't found anyone to tell me a good reason for the complaining anyway. Don't whine, just play.

I am still tempted to get this plugin in case we decide to use it for fun. I will definitely bookmark it.

Could you make it where it doesn't enforce headshots if the server is on MvM?

For the slap message, since it is only displayed to the bodyshotting player, it might make sense to omit the player name and just say "You have been slapped with %d damage for bodyshotting."

All these years later and I too have this problem with the plugin (which I think is great btw )

Is there a solution to the problem of slapping not working? My players are slayed even though I have set the variable to slapping.

I have set the following in my server.cfg:

// Action to perform against offenders: 0 = slay, 1 = slap (see sm_bs_slap_damage), 2 = kick
sm_bs_action "1"

// Trigger action after this many violations, 0 to disable plugin
sm_bs_count "2"

// Whether or not the violation counter should be reset after each headshot
sm_bs_reset "1"

// The damage to slap offenders with if sm_bs_action is set to 1
sm_bs_slap_damage "25"

// Whether or not to play a sound file to all players when somebody gets punished.
sm_bs_sound "1"

Really hoping there is still someone around that can help with this!

Ok, feeling a bit sheepish . I found the problem.

The answer is to edit the \tf2\tf\cfg\sourcemod\bodyshot.cfg file and NOT server.cfg
