The server computer itself, is owned, it's not being rented from any game server provider. If you are referring to the in-game option to where you create a server, I chose Official Dedicated then used mm_dedicated_force_servers to connect to it. Then hit start game. Is this not the correct way to connect to a dedicated server?

Is even sourcemod and metamod working for alien swarm? 99 % sure it isn't.
And this plugin is for L4D2. Something similar would have to be created for alien swarm since
that's a new game/mod.

if you want your server to allow more than 18 players, it is good to change 1st map after plugin load, in some cases server may crash if you don't do that

even 16 players, the server can still crash (Segmentation fault),even without any plugins...steam's fault...

I've been running a version of this code that i heavily modified, and my 32
(15vs15) slot server holds for an average of 6.15 hours before crashing.
The only downside is the mob limit, which doesn't stand up to the amount of
survivors plowing through each level.

Ill let you know if it works with Alien Swarm cause i wanna set sv_maxplayers to 1 so i dont get the you lame cheater response from the general public it will be my own personal admin priveledged game.

Someone needs to make a sourcemod extension or metamod plugin from scratch for Alien swarm. Don't consider it to be done as it's a pretty nasty work doing
