Don't get me started on GS. He is the reason I stayed there so long before getting a dedicated box.

Any luck wave?

BAN!

Srcds *should* produce some log files if it can't connect. You need to look around for these, as it tends to change where it puts them randomly. They may help you, or you can email the guy on hlds_linux who wanted them (someone from valve)

I was running 1.3.0-dev but since the orangebox update yesterday has killed that branch for now I have loaded up the latest 1.2.2-dev. Shutting the server down and starting it up via the Gameservers control panel doesn't restore the connection...but neither does renaming the vdf like I did before... maybe this is just an artifact of the recent update though?

Do you have a link or more information on the hlds_linux guy who wanted the logs?

Edit: To update on how the servers had been running since I had last posted... they maintained their steam connection but I also did have to restart them really at all. This issue didn't become a problem again until this morning when I was trying to get the new version of Sourcemod running.

I want an sm plugin/extension to fake the server into thinking its always connected.
That way I can always use my unlocks (god damn valve and their stupid system)

I don't really have any other info on the hlds_linux guy, you would need to look through the archives to find it.
