hl2dm, why? theyre both source games

just cus u typed status it don't mean it's actually enabled, there have been a lot of bugs over the years with sourcetv to have it properly enabled after a server restart; not to mention tv_enable is not a startup cmd like i said, so instead you should have tv_enable 1 in server.cfg and/or autoexec.cfg

i meant are you sure as in you actually connected to it with that command "connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:27020" and you were able to spectate through it

the difference with pw is when u have pw on:

in console: connect ip:27020;password aaa
in browser: steam://connect/ip:27020/aaa

and when pw is off:

in console: connect ip:27020
in browser: steam://connect/ip:27020

You can run commands and set cvars from the command line by putting a + before them (this is from the same page you linked to). In fact, most servers do this to set the startup map, and I routinely +exec files in order to have non-shared autoexec configurations (sv_setsteamaccount stuff mainly).

you're right, i forgot it works for console commands as well, thanks
point still stands tho, there's been a lot of bugs with stv and seeing the status didn't necessarily mean stv was properly enabled to spectate through it

I'm sure that Source TV is enabled. Because when I type "connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:27020" in console, it connects to sourceTV and spectates correctly.
The problem is in Steam command.

ok i asked a friend and he said u cant really make a server, only create a lobby! and all servers are valve's official ones, as far as he knows
also how did u get those ips? i can never get game info status off players
