Maybe you have a plugin which is spawning too many entities (a bug possibly). Have you tried running without plugins? Unless it's really the map, maybe something there is spawning too much in which case you could remove those entities if they're not needed. Maybe run a few lines of code to list every entity spawned and see if theres excessive amount of something.
