Not sure if I am posting in the right place (Sorry if I haven't) but after the latest steam update I have updated all my servers and they restart but will not connect to steam. This is the message I get -



Has anyone had this problem or know how I might fix it please?

I re-ran the update to make sure and got this -

Connecting anonymously to Steam Public...Success. force_install_dir ../css app_update 232330 verify_all Success! App '232330' already up to date. quit

So it looks like everything is okay but I can't get connected to steam :/

Any help would be greatly appreciated

They didn't fix it, it was a fix on Valve's end.

I get the same error on our 4 euro css servers, so any help would be nice.

well, when installing and run srcds very first time,
you get this error, because srcds had missing steam_appid.txt file,
it generate that file on first run, then just need reboot server.

Sometimes when my host machine crashed i've had smiliar problem
It was caused due to some bug in registry.

I've used this batch script to fix it:

reg delete HKCU\Software\Valve\Steam\ActiveProcess /f 


So generaly
1. Create batch script
2. Launch It
3. Run Server
